Master of Arts in Education - Teaching

The Master of Arts in Education (MAE) program at PLU will equip you to be a socially just and relationally focused teacher, with a deep knowledge of and expertise in curriculum development, effective classroom instruction, and inclusive engagement and relationship building.

PLU’s MAE strikes the balance between theory and practice, with a strong foundation in research, theory and teaching best practices paired with a year-long internship in local schools. Our program prepares teachers for elementary or secondary education, offers 20+ endorsements, and leads to a Washington State Residency Teacher Certificate and a master’s degree in just one year.
