SAXIFRAGE

Saxifrage is Pacific Lutheran University’s premier literary and art magazine. It consists of work by students, staff, and alumni – poems, traditional art, literary essays, prints, short stories, photography, musical scores, and other works, all selected by volunteer judges from the Pacific Lutheran community.

A book by the people, for the people. A celebration and review of excellence. A piece of Pacific Lutheran you can take with you. Submissions to Saxifrage are accepted in the fall semester on a rolling basis, with a final deadline in early spring. Anyone involved in the university’s community can, and is encouraged to submit. We look forward to seeing what you’ve done.

Upcoming Events and Opportunities

Saxifrage Editors can participate in the production of our annual pubication, support our events, craft posters and posts for social media, and help to review annual submissions. Our team is a diverse mix of folks with varying levels of experience. If you are new to editing, design work, doing outreach, or hosting events, this is a great opportunity to learn more in a supportive environment.
Join us at this informal event where students can choose to read or perform their written works, or listen as an audience member. We can't wait to hear what you have to share!
