Instructions for Faculty
Scheduling a test
- Communicate with the student to determine the day and time the exam will take place
- Fill out the Proctor Card (linked below) and submit it 24 hours before the exam start time.
- Send the exam to the Testing Center (choose one of the following two options):
- Bring a printed copy to the front desk in the Center for Student Success. The proctor will pick it up from the desk before the exam and give it to the student in the Testing Center. There will be somebody at the desk Mon-Fri 8am-5pm.
- Scan the exam and send it as a PDF to oaa@plu.edu. The proctor will print the exam and give it to the student in the Testing Center.
After the exam
- The proctor will record the actual start and end times of the exam.
- The proctor will deliver the exam in one of the two following ways (which you will choose when you fill out the Proctor Card):
- The proctor will scan the completed exam and email it back to you.
- If you choose this option, you will indicate on the Proctor Card how you want the exam disposed of once it has been scanned and emailed.
- The proctor will deliver the completed exam to the desk at the Center for Student Success (Library 1st floor), and you may pick it up there during open hours (M-F 8am-5pm). Please bring your ID with you. (Not all staff members at the desk will know who you are.)
- The proctor will scan the completed exam and email it back to you.
- The proctor will record the method, time, and date of the delivery of the completed exam. If you have a question about the handling of any exam, please contact Leslie Foley at 253-535-7520 or foleylj@plu.edu.
