Deadline: December 31, 2021
The PLU Presidential Scholarships recognize academic, co-curricular and leadership achievement in the incoming first-year class. The eligibility requirements for this competitive scholarship are a 3.8+ GPA OR 1310+ SAT score OR 28+ ACT score. To be considered for the scholarship, Act Six applicants must submit the Presidential Scholarships supplemental application by December 31, 2021.
Note: We realize that the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted school grades AND access to tests. If COVID has impacted your GPA and you have between a 3.75 -3.79 weighted GPA, you are still eligible to apply for the Presidential Scholarships.
PLU is a test optional school for admission and for scholarship eligibility.
Awards: Over 400 students apply for the President’s Scholarship each year. For the 2022-23 academic year, 120 President’s Scholars will be selected and awarded $34,000 per year for four years of undergraduate study. All President’s Scholars will then be invited to interview in February for one of ten Harstad Founder’s Scholarship ($40,000 per year for four years of undergraduate study) and one of five Regents’ Scholarship (Full tuition scholarship for four years of undergraduate study).
*Note: Presidential Scholarships awarded will replace any smaller PLU academic merit scholarship you may have previously received.
Applying: If you are eligible, you will receive an email inviting you to apply for the Presidential Scholarships. You will be asked to log-in to your PLU student applicant portal in order to access the scholarship application. Because you have applied via Act Six, we will consider your Act Six Scholarship essays for the essay portion and you will not need to write an additional essay. Complete the Fall 2022 Presidential Scholarships Application for Act Six Applicants by 11:59pm PST, December 31, 2021.
