Get Involved: Austyn B. shares about being part of Clay Crows Improv Group
Have passion for being on stage? Want to continue (or start) performing once in college? PLU student organizations got you!

If you like to crack a good joke and are not afraid of not having a plan for performing, Clay Crows is a great place for you. Clay Crows is a student improv group of PLU. They audition every semester and you don’t have to be Theatre major or minor to get on the team.
Austyn Blair, a third-year student majoring in English Literature, shares his experience with Clay Crows:
When did you join Clay Crows?
I’ve been a member of the Clay Crows since Fall 2023, and being part of the team has been one of the most rewarding parts of my time at PLU
What do you like about being a part of the Clay Crows team?
It’s given me a sense of joy and community, as well as something to look forward to each week. The Clay Crows have been a creative outlet where I can express myself, connect with others, and let go of stressing about homework.
How did being in Clay Crows shape your experience at PLU?
Joining the club has truly shaped my PLU experience. It’s helped me challenge myself, confront insecurities, and step out of my comfort zone. It’s also been a space where I can embrace creativity and have fun. As someone who’s not part of the theatre department, I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to meet many of the amazing people on the team if not for this experience.
You can find Clay Crows on multiple social media platforms and watch their shows livestreams on their YouTube Channel.
