How to Visit PLU This Fall
Are you already scheduling some of your fall college visits? If you’re checking out colleges in the Pacific Northwest, PLU should definitely be on your list! Here are some options to put on your calendar:
- Fall Preview Day – November 11
Our biggest fall event includes info sessions based on your academic interests, a campus tour, lunch, campus life & academic resource fair, and the chance to learn more about PLU, the application process, and financial aid & scholarships. Plus, it’s merch week on campus, which means free PLU gear! - Lute Life Days – October 11 & October 25
Come for a campus tour (always led by current students) and admission presentation. Choose the morning check-in time to add on lunch and the opportunity to sit in on a PLU class. - Individual Visits
Need a little more flexibility based on your schedule? Individual visits are available Monday-Friday and certain Saturday mornings. You’ll take a campus tour, meet with an admission counselor, and have options to include a class visit, eating lunch on campus, meeting with a professor, or meeting with a coach.
PLU is worth seeing in the fall – campus is gorgeous. Plus, attending one of the above options means you’ll automatically earn our $1,000 per year Visit Scholarship (for high school seniors)!
Explore Tacoma and the Pacific Northwest
While you’re visiting PLU, take some time to explore the surrounding area. Tacoma has a vibrant arts scene, great food spots, and beautiful outdoor spaces, like Point Defiance Park and Ruston Way Waterfront. If you’re into the outdoors, consider taking a day trip to Mount Rainier or the Puget Sound. Getting a taste of the local culture and environment will give you a better idea of what life at PLU could be like.
Pro Tip: Ask your tour guide or admission counselor for their favorite local spots—they’ll have insider tips on the best places to eat, hang out, and explore!
Connect with Current Students
Nothing beats hearing from students who are already living the PLU experience. During your visit, whether in-person or virtual, try to connect with current students. They can give you real, unfiltered insights into what it’s like to live, study, and have fun at PLU.
Pro Tip: Check out PLU’s social media channels for student takeovers and Q&A sessions—they’re a great way to hear directly from current students.
