PLU students on campus outside Xavier

As a PLU employee, you have the power to further invest in students through our employee giving program.

Each day, in many and varied ways, you already demonstrate your care for students and their success. Your gift is an additional vote of confidence in the future of PLU and PLU students. Whether it’s supporting student scholarships, academic programs or faculty excellence and research, every gift counts.

Thank you for partnering with us to make PLU a wonderful place where Lutes can thrive—both on campus and beyond. If you have questions or would like more information about giving, please feel free to contact Donor Communications.

I give because I know how committed my colleagues are to our shared mission, and it’s a way to send a special note of gratitude to units around campus for their important work with our students.

While my main role is to recruit future Lutes, I am proud to support a couple of our student organizations on campus, particularly Nā Hoaloha O Hawaiʻi and the Asian Pacific Islander Student Association. I am continually amazed by the work and dedication of our students who endeavor to build community and to build a sense of belonging. Members of both student organizations find ways to share their cultural heritage with the community in order to learn from one another and find connections. I give to these student organizations so they continue their amazing work.

Give to what inspires you—scholarships, research, the arts, athletics—any amount is welcome and tax-deductible.

There are many ways to give at PLU including making your impact year-round via payroll deduction. Opting for payroll deduction offers a seamless and hassle-free method of contribution, allowing you to make a lasting impact with minimal effort. This convenient option ensures your ongoing support continues uninterrupted for as long as you remain employed, without the concern of payment disruptions due to expired or updated credit cards.

Student Crowdfunding

PLU students and employees looking to fundraise for their club, team or group may benefit from PLU’s crowdfunding program.

Crowdfunding is an effective “peer-to-peer” fundraising method that leverages the power of your social network to raise money for a PLU project or cause. By engaging your friends, family, mentors and others who support you, you can raise funds to reach your group goal. Student crowdfunding at PLU takes place each year in April.

Since 2019, groups across PLU have raised over $45,000 for their various project-based causes, including a new boat for the rowing team, tournament fees and travel for the ultimate frisbee team and the PLU Artist Mentoring Program camp for local youth.

Apply to Crowdfund

Applications are due each year in February. Interested PLU students and employees are encouraged to apply to crowdfund or to reach out to a member of the Donor Communications team with questions at plufund@plu.edu or 253-535-7447.
