Hank Lin, Ph.D., CFA

Dr. Fang (Hank) Lin joined Pacific Lutheran University as an Assistant Professor of Finance in 2023. He holds a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Oklahoma and is a CFA charter holder.

Before his PLU journey, Dr. Lin was an Associate Professor and Program Coordinator of Finance at Pittsburg State University and served as an Assistant Teaching Professor at the University of Washington Bothell. He has extensive teaching experience across a broad spectrum of finance courses, including investments, corporate finance, international finance, derivatives, and financial markets.

Dr. Lin’s research primarily leverages data to explore corporate finance issues such as executive compensation and debt management. He is also interested in sports economics and energy economics.
