Central Pierce Fire and Rescue responded today to a fire alarm at Foss Hall, an unoccupied PLU structure. CPFR put the fire out and there are no injuries reported.
CPFR has a large number of responding vehicles on scene, and have cordoned off the intersection of 124th & Yakima for hydrant access and support vehicles. There will be a CPFR presence for several hours as they conduct a routine investigation of the fire. They are also utilizing several other PLU parking lots as staging areas. Please give them space to work and avoid driving in the area of 124th & Yakima until further notice.
