Timely Warning — Burglary

The Campus Safety Department was notified of a burglary in Hinderlie Hall at approximately 3:55 a.m. on 9/25/2024. Residents reported an unidentified suspect gained access to a residential hall room through an open window. No injuries were reported, but personal items were taken. Local law enforcement has been notified of this incident, and affected students are being provided with follow-up support and resources.

Prevention information:

• Report it: Campus Safety encourages everyone to report possible theft and prowling to local law enforcement and to call Campus Safety at 253-535-7441 to report any crime or suspicious activity (s  uch as individuals walking close to building exteriors looking in multiple windows and trying to open building windows from the outside).
• Campus Safety encourages all PLU community members to lock and secure building doors and windows to prevent unauthorized access. 
• Avoid leaving valuables in plain sight whenever possible.
