$2,000 Scholarships from ACS
Puget Sound Section of the American Chemical Society Julia Ann Rutherford Memorial Scholarship: $2,000
Applicants must be an undergraduate student currently enrolled in a local four-year college or university in the ACS Puget Sound Section and plan to continue their undergraduate education during the fall. Applicant has completed one year of general chemistry and completed or concurrently enrolled in organic chemistry, and intends to pursue a major in chemistry, chemical engineering, biochemistry, or related field involving a curriculum emphasizing chemistry coursework.
Puget Sound Section of the American Chemical Society John W. Macklin Scholarship: $2,000
Applicants must be an undergraduate student currently enrolled in a local college/university in the ACS Puget Sound Section with a chemistry curriculum. This scholarship is specifically for underrepresented minority students (undergraduates) in chemistry who identify as one or more of the following: Hispanic/Latinx, Indigenous (American Indian, Alaskan native), Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander (including Filipino), African American/Black. Students must have completed one year of general chemistry and intend to pursue a major in chemistry, chemical engineering, biochemistry, or related field involving a curriculum emphasizing chemistry coursework.
