The Alger LGBTQ+ Scholarship

The 2021-2022 Academic Year scholarship will be open this spring March 18th, 2021.

Application deadline: April 18th.  Application decision: First week of May

The Alger LGBTQ+ Scholarship is a $1750 per semester, award designed to lift up and affirm LGBTQ+ students at PLU. This scholarship stacks on financial aid.

This scholarship is attached to an internship position that requires that the recipient commit 5hrs/week as The Queer and Trans Programming Intern at the CGE.  This scholar/intern will receive support and supervision from Nicole Jordan the CGE Coordinator.

Through collaborative support, networking and collective programming, this intern will bring fresh and relevant queer and trans programming to our PLU community.

The start date for internship: The applicant will connect with current Alger LGBTQ+ Scholar via email and dialogue to ensure a supported transition.  The internship starts officially the first week of September 2021.
