PLU on Tap this year will feature selections of beer, cider and wine from Lute producers. We are excited to bring Stickmen Brewing to the event this year as well as a few new wineries! Join us to taste Stickmen Brewing, Black Fleet Brewing, Blue Mountain Cider, Wapato Point Cellars, Benson Vineyards, Lomcevak Cellars, Gård Vintners, and Desert Wind Winery! We will also have cookies by Love by the Slice and cheese from Rogue Creamery. This is going to be fun!

Benson Vineyards tells heartfelt story from vine to bottle.

A misty-eyed Scott Benson ’96 examined a single bottle of Ruby Port with a nostalgic grin on his face. The velvety dessert wine with the perfect amount of sweetness tugged at his heart strings. Standing in a chilled storage room surrounded by cases of wine, Benson said the Ruby Port is named after his grandmother. “It was a labor of love and a fitting wine for someone like her,” he said. The port was a three-year project, and Grandma Ruby never got the chance to drink it before she died in 2010. But her sweet memory lives on every time someone uncorks a bottle.

“It’s a tribute to my Benson family roots,” Benson said.
