Warning signs are placed on laboratory doors where biohazardous agents are handled or stored. These door signs provide the name of the agent(s) and contact information of the people responsible for their handling and storage.
Warning labels are placed on containers used to store or transport blood or OPIM, including biohazardous waste bags, sharps containers, refrigerators, freezers, and incubators. The label will be a fluorescent orange, red, or orange-red biohazard label as illustrated with lettering in a contrasting color (see example below).
