Biography
Dean Butterworth is the Outreach and Education Specialist at Olympic National Park. Dean began his career in the National Park Service as a volunteer at Golden Gate National Recreation Area in 1998. Working for the National Park Service is a dream fulfilled and has allowed him to work, live, and play in the Sierra Nevada, Pacific Northwest, Greater Yellowstone, and the Colorado Plateau ecosystems. Since arriving at Olympic National Park in 2008 he has been sharing the powerful story of Elwha River Restoration with the public.
