Electrochemical Technology Master’s Internship Program
The University of Oregon is looking for motivated seniors in chemistry, physics, materials science, chemical engineering, and other related fields, for their recently launched Masters program in Electrochemical Technology. In Fall 2023 they will be welcoming their fourth cohort. They have found many new graduates are looking for ways to be involved in the clean-energy transition. Their program has been highly effective at placing students into related industries. The 2022 cohort have accepted job offers from Boeing, Cuberg, ESS, HRL, NEL Hydrogen, NREL, Nuvera Fuel Cells, Sila Nanotechnologies, Twelve, and QuantumScape, EnZinc, among others, with average compensation >$82,000 / year.
Students in the program complete 6 months of integrated electrochemistry science and engineering coursework and laboratories followed by a 9 month paid internship selected by the student. They will waive the application fee for interested students with a qualified background in science and engineering. Priority deadline for applications is February 15th, however rolling admissions will continue until the cohort is filled.
