Driving Directions to Campus

The residence halls officially open for new students beginning on Friday, September 3, 2021. Check-In dates and times are being assigned this year in order to limit density on campus and in your residence hall at any given time.

Below are suggested driving directions to assist those of you who are arriving on campus during the Labor Day Weekend. Please note that these driving directions vary by hall and are designed to keep traffic flowing and make move in day as smooth as possible.

Move In, Unloading, and Parking Directions from Interstate 5

Harstad Hall

  • Take exit 127 off Interstate 5 and head east on Highway 512.
  • Continue on 512 for approximately two miles.
  • Take the WA-7/Pacific Ave exit.
  • Turn right on Pacific Avenue S
  • Turn right on 121st Street S.
  • Turn left on Park Avenue.
  • Harstad Hall is the second building on your right.
  • If you are significantly early, and need a convenient place to park and wait, you will be directed to a nearby parking lot.
  • If you arrive close to your assigned time, pull up in front of Harstad to Check-In and receive unloading directions.
  • Once all belongings are out of your vehicle (in 30 minutes or less please) you will then move your vehicle to the Library or Harstad Parking Lots.
  • Campus Safety Officers will be on site to welcome you and provide direction.

Tingelstad Hall

  • Take exit 127 off Interstate 5 and head east on Highway 512.
  • Continue on 512 for approximately two miles.
  • Take the WA-7/Pacific Ave exit.
  • Turn right on Pacific Avenue S.
  • Turn right on 125th Street S.
  • Continue on 125th Street past Park Avenue, Tingelstad Hall will be on your right hand side (it’s hard to miss as it is the only 9 story building in Parkland).
  • If you are significantly early, and need a convenient place to park and wait, you will be directed into the 1st driveway on your right.
  • If you arrive close to your assigned time, you will be directed into the 2nd driveway on your right to Check-In and receive unloading directions.
  • Once all belongings are out of your vehicle (in 30 minutes or less please) you will then move your vehicle to the Olson or Morken Parking Lots.
  • Campus Safety Officers will be on site to welcome you and provide direction.

Hinderlie, Hong, Kreidler, Ordal and Stuen Halls

  • Take exit 127 off Interstate 5 and head east on Highway 512.
  • Continue on 512 for approximately two miles.
  • Take the WA-7/Pacific Avenue exit.
  • Turn right on Pacific Avenue S.
  • Turn right on 120th Street S.
  • Turn left on 8th Avenue Court S.
  • Turn left on 121st Street S.
  • Turn right into the first parking lot on your right, the West Hauge Lot. (In order to maintain traffic flow, it is important that you approach this lot from the west allowing for a right turn into it.)
  • If you are significantly early, and need a convenient place to park and wait, you will be directed to a nearby parking space.
  • If you arrive close to your assigned time, you will be directed as follows:
    • Stuen Residents should park in this lot if space is available and residents should follow signs and walk to the Check-In table.
    • Ordal and Kreidler Residents should turn right onto campus just past Stuen Hall, park in available temporary space and walk to the Check-In table.
    • Hong and Hinderlie Residents should drive straight onto campus and turn right just past Hong Hall, park in available temporary space and walk to the Check-In table.
  • Unloading spaces near these residence halls are limited and designed to minimize the impact on grounds and plantings. Please park only as directed.
  • Once all belongings are out of your vehicle (in 30 minutes or less please) you will exit the campus at the corner of Wheeler Street S and 8th Avenue Court S and may park in either the Wheeler Lot or the Yakima Lot.
  • Campus Safety Officers will be on site to welcome you and provide direction.

Pflueger Hall

  • Take exit 127 off Interstate 5 and head east on Highway 512.
  • Continue on 512 for approximately two miles.
  • Take the WA-7/Pacific Ave exit.
  • Turn right on Pacific Avenue S.
  • Turn right on 125th Street S.
  • Continue on 125th Street past Park Avenue and Tingelstad Hall to the end of 125th at Yakima Avenue S.
  • Turn right onto Yakima Avenue S. Pflueger Hall will be straight ahead.
  • If you are significantly early, and need a convenient place to park and wait, you will be directed into the nearby Columbia Center Lot.
  • If you arrive close to your assigned time, pull up in front of Pflueger to Check-In and receive unloading directions.
  • Once all belongings are out of your vehicle (in 30 minutes or less please) you will then move your vehicle to the Olson or Morken Parking Lots.
  • Campus Safety Officers will be on site to welcome you and provide direction.

South Hall

  • Take exit 127 off Interstate 5 and head east on Highway 512.
  • Continue on 512 for approximately two miles.
  • Take the WA-7/Pacific Ave exit.
  • Turn right on Pacific Avenue S.
  • Turn right on 127th Street S.
  • Continue on 127th Street S. for three blocks until it ends at Yakima Avenue S.
  • Turn Right on Yakima Avenue S.
  • The Check-In for South Hall is on your right hand side, just past the building.
  • If you are significantly early, and need a convenient place to park and wait, you will be directed into the nearby Columbia Center Lot.
  • If you arrive close to your assigned time, pull up in front of South to Check-In and receive unloading directions.
  • Once all belongings are out of your vehicle (in 30 minutes or less please) you will then move your vehicle to the South Hall or Tingelstad Parking Lots.
  • Campus Safety Officers will be on site to welcome you and provide direction.
