Responsibilities

Campus Life Responsibilities

  • Supervise the Harstad, Hinderlie, and Kreidler RA’s
  • Support the following Learning Communities in Harstad, Hinderlie and Kreidler Halls: Community for Creative Expression, Global Communities, Upper Division Community
  • Coordinate move-in, move-out, room/hall moves, and roommate agreements
  • Manage Harstad, Hinderlie, and Kreidler’s programming budget.
  • Create & deliver pro-devo curriculum
  • Collaboratively implement the departmental co-curriculum
  • Support in staff recruitment, selection, training and evaluation
  • Liaison for clubs & organizations that align with Learning Communities

Student Life Responsibilities

    • PLUS 100 Instructor
    • Professional Staff On-Call (Campus Crisis Response)
    • Conduct hearing educator for campus policy violations

Biography

Vanessa is originally from rural Illinois. Vanessa moved to Seattle in 2021 for grad school and fell in love with Washington and decided to stay! Outside of work, they love reading writing, laughing with friends and hanging out with their cat, Twitch.
