Kathryn (Hefty) Enselman died Sept. 9, 2013.
After PLU, Kathy was a substitute teacher and taught for a short time before deciding to pursue a different career and seizing an opportunity in the loan-officer training program at Seafirst Bank. She worked in financial services for many years. She married Larry Enselman in 1984, and they had two children, Leigh and Erik. She enjoyed her dogs, traveling, boating, gardening, cooking and having fun on the family property on San Juan Island. She is survived by her husband and two children; father Milton Hefty ’53 and stepmother Camille; mother Luella (Vig ’54) Edwards and stepfather Frank; siblings Karl, Andrea, Annalise (Hefty ’84) Kaneko, Peter Hefty ’88 and Kaaren (Hefty’86) Daugherty; brother-in-law Todd Daugherty ’86; sister-n-law Vicki (Miller ’84) Hefty; nephews Andrew Daugherty ’16 and Scott Hefty ’16; and many other legacy Lute family members from the Hefty, Katz and Daugherty families.
