Mike Dunbar died September 13, 2013.
Mike started his coaching career at PLU as assistant football coach in 1976. In 1980, after receiving his master’s degree from PLU, the family moved to Ellensburg to coach college football at Central Washington University. During his 39-year coaching career, Mike was head coach or offensive coordinator at 10 major universities. He was a member of the National Football Coaches Association and the Washington Athletic Association and was inducted into the CWU Hall of Fame. He is survived by wife Linda, son Troy, daughter Lori, grandsons Ty and Bryce, parents Wayne and Barbara, sisters Patricia and Nancee, brother Jim and numerous nieces and nephews.
