Norene Almeida died August 31, 2013.
She was very proud of her degree in social work from PLU. She worked at the VA hospital in Lakewood, Wash., until she could no longer work. Norene is survived by her husband, Juan; son Chris Almeida ’06; and daughter-in-law Kaitlyn (Moody ’08) Almeida. Norene also attended the University of Washington and received a master’s degree in social work in 1999.
