Kathleen Martin ’85 has been accepted into actress Lindsay Wagner’s Advanced Acting Retreat for the summer of 2015 in Victoria, B.C. Kathleen had submitted a videotape monologue to Lindsay, wherein she performed a scene from her screenplay that she wrote on elder abuse.
Mike Larson ’83 was recently named Realtor of the Year for Tacoma-Pierce County. He is the owner and designated broker at Allen Realtors in Lakewood, Wash.
Randy Knutson ’80 was ordained into the Episcopal Priesthood by Bishop Barry Beisner on April 25, 2015, in Sacramento, Calif. He has taken a joint call in Ft. Bragg, Calif., to St. Michael’s Episcopal Church and Trinity Lutheran Church (ELCA). This is part of a new shared ministry of both of these congregations that will maintain their separate buildings and identities in this North Coast California town in Mendocino county. Randy will be called as a Priest in Charge at St. Michael’s by Bishop Barry Beisner of the Episcopal Diocese of Northern California and serve as Pastor to Trinity by Bishop Mark Holmerud of the Sierra Pacific Synod (ELCA).

Trina Anderson ’78 retired at the end of 2014 after 36 years working as a registered nurse at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital. Trina enjoyed the work very much and felt called by God at an early age to become a nurse. She particularly enjoyed some fantastic co-workers who worked with her for 20 years and more. Her floor involved medical, chemotherapy, hospice and surgical patients. Trina feels the journey that led to her retirement was always in God’s hands, as she now has time to do her next calling: being the full-time caretaker of her 94-year-old mother. She would like to hear from others in the Nursing class of ’78.
Brian Stiles ’78 was appointed by Washington Gov. Jay Inslee to the Skagit County Superior Court.
Eric Lemnitzer ’77 planned to retire in May, but work got in the way. Eric is employed by Arrow Indian Contractors as the Senior Estimator, Project Manager, and works from home. He bids construction projects all over the Western United States and was able to spend a week in Montana and thought it almost felt like being retired.
Ron Foster ’74 was the recipient of the Outstanding Adjunct Teacher of the Year Award in May at Cornerstone University.

George Beard ’64 has retired after 17 years as a social-service case manager. Earlier, he had worked 29 years as a pastor of Lutheran congregations in four states.
James Castleberry ’63 was inducted into the Washington Basketball Coaches Hall of Fame in July 2015.
