Congratulations to the Overall Winners of the 2017 South Sound Regional Science & Engineering Fair!
The top three overall winners in the grades 9-12 category earned a Grand Award of an all expenses paid trip to the 2017 Intel ISEF May 14-19 in Los Angeles, CA.
1st Place: Ashlynn Gallagher, W.F. West High School: A Novel Approach to Understanding Cancer: Using Antitumor Agents In The G2/M DNA Damage Checkpoint In The P53 Gene On The Early Development of Zebrafish Embryos
2nd Place: Abhinav Gundrala, Olympia HS: An Early Myocardial Infarction Detection System Using Complex Artificial Intelligence
3rd Place: Surabhi Mundada, Olympia HS: MyHealth: Detection and Monitoring of Parkinson’s Disease Motor Symptoms
Honorable Mention: Raghavendra Bharadwaj, Capital High School: Maximizing the efficiency of Delta wings; the effect of leading edge sweep angle and location of maximum thickness on lift-to-drag ratios of delta wings at various angles of attack.
