He spent the summer after graduation teaching English in a small rural community as part of Chile’s English Opens Doors project. Jackal has applied to PhD graduate programs in California in hopes of pursuing his academic and personal interests in transnational relations with Latin America. He currently works teaching ELL at Tacoma Community House.

  • Alyson Theiman ’09 PLU Alumna Biography Biography Alyson was introduced to the sport of ultimate at PLU in 2006. She quickly fell in love with the sport, and spent the next four years playing with PLU Reign. In 2008 Alyson was accepted onto a highly competitive elite women’s team, Seattle Riot. Since joining this team, she has placed 2nd and 3rd in the Nation, and most recently had the opportunity of both coaching and competing in Medellín, Colombia.
