To the general public, they are thought of as a means to an end, rather than a harmful chemical such as alcohol and tobacco. If the lawn chemicals are going to be thought of in this way, implementing disclaimer labels of which lawn chemicals do the most amount of damage may help change public perception and encourage more thoughtful buying, without risking the economic impact

Photos courtesy of Claire Todd Dear Pierce County, The PLU students in ENVT 350 course are enjoying a picnic after an exciting afternoon of collecting samples at Mayfair Playfield! The plants, stream organisms, and birds also deserve to have an environment where they can enjoy a picnic too. To address this, a committee should be created and funded to remove the asphalt allowing the stream to meander and to restore the substrate with rocks and wood. This would help create a healthy environment

Solar Array Information This solar project represents the commitment to sustainability of Parkland Light and Water and Pacific Lutheran University.   The 7+ kW installation uses local Washington made PV Modules and Power Inverters from Silicon Energy.  They are installed in a staggered array on the roof of Facilities Management (Building #28) to accommodate shade from nearby trees.  The power produced will offset the electric use of the building and will account for a significant savings each

The faculty representatives to the Board of Regents are the chair and vice chair of the faculty, the faculty secretary, and one tenured member of the full-time faculty elected by the faculty at large for a three-year term. Specific Duties: To represent faculty concerns and views to the members of the board. To participate in plenary and committee sessions of the board. To meet with liaison representatives of the board. To report to the faculty on discussions and actions taken by the board. To
