Philharmonic, Pacific Northwest Ballet Orchestra, and with the Lyric Brass at PLU.  He studied tuba performance with Ron Munson in Seattle, Steve Call at Brigham Young University, and Gary Ofenloch at the University of Utah.  Before coming home to the Pacific Northwest, Paul was Principal Tuba of the Boise Philharmonic and played frequently with the Utah Symphony.  He performs regularly as a soloist and chamber musician and has been soloist with the Boise Philharmonic, Tacoma Symphony, and Lyric Brass.

over 12 years. I worked in acute care med/surg nursing before transitioning into education. I taught for 8 years at a small college in Helena, MT and have experience in all aspects of nursing education. Teaching student nurses is my passion and I am so excited to be joining the team of excellent faculty at PLU. In my spare time I love fly fishing, kayaking and traveling with my family. Currently serving on the Montana Board of Nursing as a Simulation Task Force Member and Presenter

Behrens is Associate Professor of Biology and a marine ecologist at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington.  He received his Ph.D. in Ecology, Evolution and Marine Biology from the University of California at Santa Barbara.  His research primarily focuses on the larval ecology of bivalves, disease ecology of marine invertebrates, and community-based monitoring.  In addition to this, Mike has worked with environmental education programs in California and Washington, most recently serving

University. She is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and has passed all four sections of the Uniform Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam. Prior to joining PLU, Dr. Liu served as an assistant professor of accountancy at the University of San Diego. She also has international teaching experiences in China. Dr. Liu’s research interests include the effects of human behavior on performance evaluation, ethical decision-making, and financial reporting. She is a member of the American Accounting
