It is not something I am only aware of, but is now something I have a connection to through my experiences here. One of the most significant experiences was our visit with representatives of IMUMI or, Instituto para las Mujeres en la Migración (The Institute for Women in Migration) and Clínica de Acción Legal, where we listened to a presentation on categorias sospechosas or racial

murders, and contemporary film representations of resistance and repression. The project will weave together different moments in time, where moments of white terror, black resistance and violence against African-Americans went hand in hand. Ehrenhaus will remain in Tacoma as he compiles the research for this book. He is hoping to have it reach a broad public audience, both inside and outside of academia, when he finishes.
