I’m grateful to work at a place like Pacific Lutheran University where I’m encouraged to take a few days off work to pursue something I’m passionate about. It was not an easy weekend to take off with home events in women’s tennis and softball, on top of several other sports competing over the weekend (six to be exact). April 22, 2013 PLU recognized for community service In March, PLU was named to the 2013 President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll by the Corporation for National and Community Service. The Honor Roll recognizes higher education institutions that demonstrate exemplary community service and achieve meaningful outcomes in their communities.
