December 7, 2009 LEED Gold for Neeb This fall the Martin J. Neeb Center received the distinction of being named Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certified. According to the U.S. Green Building Council, the Neeb Center is the only radio facility in the nation with a LEED Gold ranking. “We are proud that the building meets LEED Gold standards and affirms Pacific Lutheran University’s commitment to energy conservation,” said PLU President Loren J. Over 11 weeks, SURF students contribute to the ongoing research of one of the six NIST Operating Units which are the Communications Technology Laboratory (CTL), Engineering Laboratory (EL), Information Technology Laboratory (ITL), Material Measurement Laboratory (MML), NIST Center for Neutron Research (NCNR), and Physical Measurement Laboratory (PML) (which now includes projects in the Center for Nanoscale Science and Technology).  The SURF
