Nelly Trocmé Hewett shared the story of her family’s connection to Sauvage as he and his parents fled to Le Chambon where Nelly’s parents were among the leaders of the Le Chambon effort. Stephen Kitajo serves on the board for the Puyallup Valley Chapter of the Japanese American Citizens League.
