She investigates various forms of posttraumatic reactions and resilience that are experienced by trauma survivors. Recently, she has been focused on studying the dissemination and implementation of evidence-based trauma-focused treatments in university counseling centers for student sexual assault victims and combat veterans. He arrived at PLU in 2005 and became Chair of the Department of Marriage and Family Therapy in 2009.
