Mortality, anxiety, illness and grief are near and we struggle to piece life together in a new way. A metaphor for this can be found in the ancient Japanese pottery art, Kintsugi. This art form puts

every aspect of musical and ceremonial life at the university. The Orchestras play 5 feature concerts during the academic year including music from the symphonic, concerto, ballet and operatic repertoires, from classical standards to new works, including an impressive list of world and regional premieres. The Orchestras collaborate with students, faculty and guest artists, not only in their own concerts but in the pit for opera and theater productions and with PLU’s marvelous choirs. The Orchestras

isn’t always easy. Some students need a place to develop coping skills for social, academic, and personal growth. Other students face more complex problems like anxiety, depression, and similar concerns. Our experienced team of licensed psychologists and mental health counselors is well prepared to help you make the most of your educational experience. Center for Student SuccessFall 2024 hours:  The CSS is working through Monday through Thursday in person and Fridays virtually. Students are welcome to make appointments in-person or via zoom Monday-Friday.  Office hours are 9 am-4 pm. The Center for Student Success will be working virtually November 26-27.
