Dr. George and Mrs. Helen LongDr. George Long graduated from Pacific Lutheran University in 1966 with degrees in both Biology and Chemistry. He received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Brandeis University in 1971, where he studied invertebrate lactate dehydrogenases. He then worked on nuclear DNA polymerases as a post-doctoral fellow at the University of California at San Diego.
