June 11, 2012 14th Annual Jazz Under the Stars Jazz Under the Stars at Pacific Lutheran University combines two ideas – provide outdoor, evening jazz performances and the chance to gaze at the stars from the university’s observatory. A History of Jazz Under The Stars Jazz Under the Stars—two decades of great jazz concerts at Pacific Lutheran University. Tucked away in the Tacoma suburb of Parkland, Washington, JUTS has quietly and modestly offered free outdoor concerts to its community, a community of loyal concertgoers that has expanded to the greater metropolitan area and beyond.
