, Relay For Life was started in Tacoma in 1985. In 2016, more than 5,000 community-based Relay For Life events will be produced in more than 20 countries. PLU’s rendition of Relay For Life features a 6-hour team walk around the university’s upper campus. The 2014 professional concert series, now in its 16th year, focuses on the wealth of jazz talent in the Northwest, as well as nationally known performers with PLU connections.
