2008, Tomio Yamamoto, a well-revered Japanese music educator, along with Japanese percussionist and Pacific Lutheran University professor, Dr. Miho Takekawa have connected Graham-Kapowsin High School and Tamana Girls High School from Tamana, Kumomoto, Japan for annual friendship concerts. This unique instrument constructed by Kenneth Bakeman in 1980 has two keyboards and a pedal division with painted motifs on the lid and soundboard.
