This will mark the groups’ first time touring the islands in over 20 years. April 26, 2012 Women’s Ultimate Frisbee team earns trip to nationals The PLU Women’s Ultimate Frisbee team won the Northwest Conference Championship this April, securing a trip to the NCAA DIII nationals. The team swept through the conference tournament defeating Willamette 14-10, Lewis & Clark 15-3, University of Puget Sound 15-3, and Whitman 14-13. Going into the conference championships PLU was ranked second in the nation for DIII schools. Nationals will take place on May 19-20 in Appleton

Molecules Meet Materials (M3) REU Site University of South Dakota Posted by: alemanem / January 23, 2024 January 23, 2024 The Molecules Meet Materials REU site at the University of South Dakota will support the training of 10 students for 10 weeks during summers 2022-2024. In this program, participants pursue collaborative research projects, with a focus on chemistry at interfaces in which molecular processes occur on surfaces. The site will train students to use spectroscopy, electron

environments with a focus on understanding issues related to inclusivity and diversity in STEM. This summer we have an exciting portfolio of research projects for REU students to join, led by a supportive and collaborative group of faculty mentors who are committed to building students’ knowledge and skills in educational research – as well as provide a rewarding and fun summer experience in the lovely Palouse! Students will also receive classroom training in topics pertinent to the emerging field of computational biology, such as computational structural biology, cell and systems modeling, computational genomics, and bioimage informatics.  Additionally, TECBio students will participate in a weekly journal club, attend research and career seminars organized specifically for the program, take part in an ethics forum that will instruct them in the responsible conduct of research, present their work at a
