While their presence on campus lasted close to a week (it takes a few days to heat up and cool down the kilns), the highlight was the glass-making demonstrations on Wednesday, February 27 when artists crafted glasses and goblets right before our eyes. Scholarships from the American Chemical Society Puget Sound Section – Deadline April 1 Posted by: Craig Fryhle / March 15, 2015 March 15, 2015 The Puget Sound Section of the American Chemical Society (ACS PSS) awards two $1500 scholarships to chemistry majors studying at 4-year colleges and universities in the Puget Sound Section of the ACS. This scholarship is named after Julia Rutherford, a PLU chemistry major who was very active in the American Chemical Society and who died in 2011. The
