March 14, 2008 Art software has applications across campus It looked like a photograph of a cell phone sitting on a table, only it wasn’t. The image wasn’t real at all. It was created using a 3-D digital modeling tool called Rhinoceros Software, Rhino for short. Created by Seattle-based Robert McNeel and Associates, the software is the newest addition to the art department. At risk are thousands of dollars, if not tens of thousands. They might lose it all. Or, they could reap great rewards. PLU students ride the economic roller coaster and find out what it’s like to invest real money in the market and what it takes to show gains. This isn’t Wall Street – it is PLU. But the decisions the student members of the

program, couldn’t come at a better time in the semester for students like Hundtofte. While most of campus was still asleep Saturday morning, Hundtofte and a group of 10 other students snuck away from campus to escape the stress of finals and enjoy a day in the snow. “If I hadn’t done this, I would have just studied in the library all day,” Hundtofte said. Hundtofte was one of three guides on the trip, and while the group didn’t quite make it to the treasured lookout point, there wasn’t a shortage of
