How the Center Works The Center for Media Studies has three distinct areas of focus: Internal Activities: Involve on-campus clients, academic projects and Student Media, including the Mooring Mast, Mast TV, LASR, Saxifrage and Matrix. Potential on-campus clients and those seeking support for academic projects are required to develop and submit applications for project consideration. At PLU, pre-professional advising and counseling is done by the Pre-Health Sciences Advising Team comprised largely of faculty members in the Division of Natural Sciences, but sometimes from other Divisions. Each student interested in a career in the health sciences should meet with an advisor. Together the student and advisor plan course work, assess progress, and discuss career goals.
