my own voice as an academic professional; it was here I found mentors that helped me become a leader; and it was here that I could relax a little. Over the years I have also used the Center to hold Philosophy seminars. Some of my most successful and fulfilling classes were held in the Women’s Center, and I attribute much of that to the atmosphere it provides. The houses have changed over the years, but not the spirit of the place. Erin McKenna Faculty at PLU since 1992; former Chair of Women’s

certainly a Lute. Kim graduated in 2015 with degrees in mathematical economics and psychology and a minor in statistics. Currently, he is in his third year at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law School at Arizona State University in Phoenix, AZ. “PLU really set things well for me,” Kim said. But the college path was not easy for Kim. His family emigrated from South Korea in 2005 and entered the United States on a year-long visitor visa. nice breakfast at the hotel, and then took a walking tour through the town. The morning was filled with church bells. By the end of the tour we were able to spend the day seeing the sights. Many of the colleges, the town market, punting on the river, museums, as well as evensong and chapel services (the one at Trinity Church was particularly good to see and hear). We’ll participate in evensong at King’s College chapel tomorrow evening and then off to London! Just let me play my LUTE June 3rdThe

to go out and make the most of my one wild and precious life. Kelvin Adams – Bachelor of Science in physics, minor in mathematics Kelvin Adams ’12 is from Portland, Ore. Why PLU? I came to PLU because I wanted to be a Lute! The sense of community at PLU was head and shoulders above every other school I visited, and I wanted to be a part of this community. I was also drawn to the fact that at PLU you have access to professors who are truly invested in your education and who even show up to events

all the subjects I came to PLU pursing, with many thanks to the advisers and professors I have had. I have been able to live on campus all four years so I can definitely say that I have experienced firsthand the trends and transitions in the Lute Dome. And that feeling of the opposite of loneliness that I have felt through my four years here can be summed up somewhat in this quote, “It’s not quite love and it’s not quite community; it’s just this feeling that there are people, an abundance of
