Students register for the History 248 section (led by Michael Halvorson) or the Philosophy 248 section (led by Michael Schleeter), but the sections always meet together and the students work on shared assignments. March 1, 2014 Danish Resistance and Rescue Scandinavian Cultural Center During the Powell-Heller Holocaust Conference, a educational display about the Danish Resistance and rescue will be available or public viewing. Prepared by the Danish Resistance Museum in Copenhagen, the exhibit tells the story of the effort by Danes to rescue Jews from the threat of German deportation. process and not to worry about the team living up to the hype. That attitude aligns with Cohen’s idea that athletes aren’t just there to play sports. It’s an approach that echoes the philosophy of PLU and Division III athletics. Cohen said she loves the Division III mentality; a comprehensive commitment to success of the student athlete as a whole. “It’s what I believe in here,” she said.
