April 26, 2012 Women’s Ultimate Frisbee team earns trip to nationals The PLU Women’s Ultimate Frisbee team won the Northwest Conference Championship this April, securing a trip to the NCAA DIII nationals. The team swept through the conference tournament defeating Willamette 14-10, Lewis & Clark 15-3, University of Puget Sound 15-3, and Whitman 14-13. The PLU graduate is now hosting his own sports talk show on ESPN Montana’s 102.9 FM. Tootell’s radio show, Tuesdays with Tootell, aired for the first time just over a month ago. ESPN Montana calls it “Missoula’s newest local and

environmentally friendly innovations.” Sheri Tonn, PLU’s vice president for finance and operations, said she was not surprised by PLU’s high ranking and very pleased with the outcome. “We are very, very pleased to attain this mark, and want to keep the caliber of sustainability to a high level on campus,” she said.
