Lecturer - Band Studies; Conductor - Concert Band | Music | veghmb@plu.edu | 253-535-7602 | Matt Vegh graduated from Pacific Lutheran University in 2012 with a Bachelor’s of Music Education (K-12 band and K-12 music) and Central Washington University in 2016 with a Master’s of Music in wind band conducting, where he studied with Lewis Norfleet and Mark Lane. Professor Vegh also teaches at Steilacoom High School.

Nonfiction | MFA in Creative Writing - Low Residency | Sherry Simpson is the author of Dominion of Bears: Living with Wildlife in Alaska, which received the 2015 John Burroughs Medal for a distinguished book of nature writing, and two collections of essays, The Accidental Explorer: Wayfinding in Alaska and The Way Winter Comes, which won the inaugural Chinook Literary Prize.

Clinical Instructor of Nursing | School of Nursing | ziegleks@plu.edu | Kristen Ziegler-Horwath, MSN, ARNP, CNM, C-EFM is a practicing Certified Nurse-Midwife and has served in both rural and urban communities in Washington state since 2013. She is passionate about providing patient-centered and evidence-based care to all, while promoting individual preferences and a safe, healthy, and positive birth experience.

School of Business | facciamm@plu.edu | Maureen Faccia, MBA, is a Visiting Professor at PLU School of Business since 2016 teaching graduate level courses.  Maureen brings over 25 years of industry business experience in marketing, product and brand management, business strategy and operations leadership in a variety of sectors from consumer packaged goods and building products to non-profit human services and healthcare.   At PLU, Maureen has taught Marketing Management and Healthcare courses and is passionate about providing mentorship to students.   Maureen holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree from University of Delaware and a Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in healthcare from Pacific Lutheran University. Currently, Maureen is an Administrative Director of Women’s Careline at MultiCare Health System, the largest system of its kind in the state.  She has oversight of 23 ambulatory clinics, Women’s Health virtual programs, and Family Childbirth Education programming. In other professional roles, Maureen led the marketing and product management of Milgard Windows & Doors, a subsidiary of Masco Corporation.  In this role she created a product roadmap and led the development of a cornerstone product for the Manufacturer.  She also led a major brand refresh including an award winning website, selling tools for dealers, and a national marketing campaign. Maureen lives in Gig Harbor with her husband of 20 years and daughter.  She is a passionate advocate for children and seniors, and has held positions on the Boards of United Way of Pierce County and Franke Tobey Jones in Tacoma.   She enjoys water sports including kayaking and paddleboarding, as well as hosting creative Maker events at her home. Visiting Instructor | School of Business | falskotn@plu.edu | 253-535-7083 | Tom Falskow brings over 30 years of finance and accounting experience to the PLU School of Business.  Having started his career in public accounting, he audited clients across the world, first in Seattle, then travelling to Zurich, Switzerland, Oslo, Norway and finally to Anchorage, Alaska.  He served clients in a variety of industries with a major focus on manufacturing and energy.
