PLU Concert BandUnder the direction of Dr. Ron GerhardsteinThe PLU Concert Band is a non-auditioned ensemble made up of PLU students in all areas and disciplines of the university as well members from the PLU community. The band rehearses one evening per week and performs at the conclusion of each semester. Membership is open to all students with prior high school music experience. With an annual roster of over seventy musicians, the USO performs 4 of the 5 major concerts on the School of Music, theatre & Dance’s “Orchestra Series.” Its repertoire is diverse, from early orchestral works of the 18th and 19th centuries to brand new literature.
