DebatePLU’s Debate team has a long history of intercollegiate forensics competition. More recently, the Debate team under professor Marnie Ritchie has focused on public policy. For several years, PLU hosted the Ruth Anderson Public Debate. A student was paired with a local politician or subject matter expert and debated current hot topics.
