finalists were invited to perform last Thursday, January 17th at 7:30 p.m. in Lagerquist Concert Hall at PLU. The six finalists—Jordan Bowles, baritone, Brennan Brichoux, baritone, Gillian Dockins, mezzo soprano, Luke Hartley, baritone, Marissa Moultrie, soprano, and Stephanie Pfundt, soprano— each performed two songs of their choosing in this public competition finale. Depending on the success of fund-raising for the projects, site preparation will begin in the fall, leading to the installation of one synthetic turf field and possibly one natural turf field in 2012. Construction will be completed in seven to nine months. Until the October closing date, the nine-hole, par-35 course will remain open to the public. Mercury Excellence Awards for her branding and designs for MediaLab’s 2014 documentary, Waste Not: Breaking Down the Food Equation.Cox, a senior Graphic Design major with an Art History and Publishing and Printing Arts minor, has been a graphic designer for MediaLab since 2012. The award makes Cox’s branding for the documentary Waste Not second worldwide in the “Campaigns-Nonprofit/Public Affairs” category.
