Wired ConnectionsWired connections are available in most locations around campus, which will allow you access to the network once your device has been registered.  An Ethernet cable is needed to use one of these connections, which can be purchased from the bookstore or any other store that carries accessories for electronic equipment.  In the residence halls, wired connections are available with at least one port for each resident. Finding the Jack Number on a Wall PlateWhen you request service for a phone or  internet connection you may need to provide the jack number on the wall plate. Here are some examples of PLU wall plates with phone, network, and cable TV connections. Jack numbers are found at the top or the bottom of the faceplate that your connection is coming from.
