Faculty and staff may search for funding opportunities directly or request assistance from the Sponsored Programs office. Our team is here to assist your funding search in several ways, from providing information on requests for proposals, to customized prospect research for your project.
Our current funding search tools include:
Advancement Databases
An understanding of any past grant success (including rejected proposals) to PLU is often the first place to start. This would also include funder or foundation contacts and any communications about proposals.
Guidestar
This database can provide you with specific information on a private funder total giving and detail about who they have funded in any given year through examination of their 990’s.
Grants.gov
Grants.gov allows users to search for information about federal, government-wide funding opportunities. Do your own search by filtering search results by grant type, program area or funding agency to find the best fit for your research.
Federal Grant Resource Links
Foundation Relations keeps an updated list of direct links to individual federal funding opportunity sites.
Request a profile
While looking at a foundation's website is helpful, it does not show their relationship with PLU or historical giving. Request a foundation's profile to get insight into our history with a foundation.
