Biography

Melaina is a current student at PLU and will be part of the graduating class of 2025. She is double majoring in Sociology and Global and Cultural Studies concentrating in Transnationalism and its Consequences. She is also minoring in theater, anthropology, and religion. Melaina is currently working as the Student Worker for the Wellbeing Services and Resources and is co-leading the Student Led Initiative for Community Creation in an effort to create a wider sense of group identity and student belonging to PLU.

Fun Facts

  • I studied away for 5 months in Trinidad and Tobago (spring 2023), particpating in Carnival and studied the local flora and fuana
  • Favorite Drink: I love a good spiced chai latte.
